Your wedding cake can be a moist, tender pure white cake, with hand-made buttercream frosting.  Or choose a buttery yellow sour cream pound cake, or a deep dark chocolate cake -- all made from scratch. 

Prices are primarily by serving and begin at $2.50 per serving, depending upon design, flavor, and ingredients.  Most sizes and shapes are available and can be mixed as desired (round, oval, heart, hexagon, octagon, square, petal, or  the new paisley/comma shape).  See the "Cake Sizes, Servings" page for example wedding cake sizes and costs.    You can examine the charts to select a tier combination that balances the look you desire with the cost/number of servings needed.  Cutting instructions are also included there.

We have catalogs of design photos here in the bakery.  Another option is to search the internet for "wedding cake" or "wedding cake gallery" or "wedding cake design" -- this will provide you with hours of browsing and ideas.  Your own cake may be customized to your unique specification, or designed entirely by you.  Whether classic or contemporary, lavish or simple or whimsical, buttercream or fondant, icing or chocolate or fresh flowers ... you choose the complete composition of your own wedding cake.

Round or square, silver or gold cake bases/plateaus rent for $20 and up depending upon size.  Cupcake towers and cake fountains are also available.  Photos follow:

Wedding cakes are typically booked several months ahead.  Confirm early to reserve your date (a $75 deposit is required to reserve your date, and this may be paid by credit card over the phone - your cake design may be finalized later).  Wedding cake delivery and setup is available within a one-hour radius of Columbia (typically $25-$50).

Wedding Appointment Information:

• We are closed Sundays and Mondays. Consultation appointments are available Tuesdays through Thursdays between 10 am and 6 pm, and usually last almost an hour (last appointment is 5 pm).  No consultations are scheduled on Fridays.  Saturday morning appointments are available at 9am, 10am or 11am, but expect interruptions as this is the busiest pick-up time of the week.

• This time is used to discuss many things:  reception setting, cake table display, cake designs, styles, sizes, shapes, flavors, colors, flowers, cake tops, delivery, pricing, etc.  -- and answer your questions.  Please bring any photos, drawings, color samples, lace, ribbon, etc., that will help express your ideas and desires.
