BIRTHDAY / PARTY CAKE FLAVORS:
- Cakes: (All made from scratch)
- White: Moist and tender with an old-fashioned birthday cake flavor.
- Yellow: A rich, buttery sour cream pound cake.
- Chocolate: Dark and delicious... similar to devil's food.
- Frosting: Hand-made buttercream, or chocolate buttercream. Please remember that some decorations do not show up well on chocolate.
STANDARD CAKE SIZES:
- Round 9" two-layer cake: 12 to 16 servings: $25.
- Round 10" two-layer cake: 16 to 20 servings: $36.
- Petits Fours are made from white cake, frosted in buttercream for flavor, then glazed on top and down the sides for appearance:
- Small (1" x 2 1/2"): $12 per dozen.
- Large (2" x 2"): $15 per dozen.
- Cupcakes, piped in swirled buttercream, plus sprinkles and/or plastic picks: $12 per dozen.
- Cupcakes, iced or piped in swirled buttercream, decorated or monogrammed: $15 per dozen.
- Cupcake Stands, white cardboard/disposable, 3 levels, holds approx 2 dozen cupcakes: $10 each.

Fondant/gum paste bows are $15 each.
Minimum charge for any fondant trim: $6.50.

(NOTE: We no longer quote cakes by email.
The number of details and options to be discussed,
and the number of additional questions and follow-up messages usually involved,
make email quotes a very time-consuming and hard-to-manage process.
This is why we have given approximate costs here and on the "Cake Sizes/Servings" page.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Standard decorations for birthday/party cakes include your choice of :
(1) One generous floral/rose spray or balloons/confetti piped in buttercream,
- OR -
(2) One cake top kit from the selection already on hand in our bakery
(shown on the "Birthday/Party Cake Tops" page).
Custom designs may or may not be subject to additional charges depending upon size, complexity and ingredients.
- "Licensed" (famous or copyrighted) characters, cartoons, and designs may not be reproduced because of Federal copyright laws. Wilton's famous character pans such as Dora, Spiderman, Thomas the Tank Engine, Barbie, etc., are sold for home use only, and legally may not be used to make cakes for resale.
As an alternative, we offer licensed cake top kits (toy cake tops). See the large selection on hand now at Vintage Bakery on the "Birthday and Party Cake Tops" page. The cake designs may be changed from those shown. For other themes not currently in stock, we can order cake top kits and re-create most cakes from www.cakes.com, www.bakerycrafts.com and www.wilton.com. Please visit these sites; the selections are very extensive. Call Vintage Bakery at least a week ahead, preferably more, to order a theme not currently in stock.
- Generic shapes may be legally recreated with no problem (these include general shapes such as cars, sports, animals, etc., which do not have a famous identity). These may be shaped cake pans or drawings on a sheet or layer cake. See the "Shaped Cakes" page for photos and ideas.
